hogwarts aesthetics – slytherin
person: slytherins can’t be brave! they are selfish and evil!
me: sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of 18 years old regulus black dying alone in a fucking cave after choosing to drink a excruciating potion in the place of his house elf in a plan to give someone else the chance to defeat voldemort and end his regime of terror
Slytherin Headcannon
Inspired by this post: when Slytherins graduate, they write a single “tip to success” on a wall somewhere in the common room, whether it’s how to brew a perfect anti-paralysis potion or how to get on a certain teacher’s good side.
This becomes a sort of shrine, “the wall of erudition,” with candles and everything – I feel like Slytherins would also be a little superstitious, so there would be some offerings there, and many muttered prayers in front of it during exam seasons. It would also be a fantastic record of the lives and histories of the individuals who wrote on it.
First year Slytherin kids crying in their dorms because they never wanted to be ‘evil’.
Slytherin kids that are ignored, bullied and picked on by their former friends bc they got sorted into the bad house.
Slytherin kids slowly starting to act like a jerk bc that’s how people expect them to act.
Not to mention the disappointed and disgusted family members when they find out their kid got sorted into Slytherin. Imagine being the only Slytherin in your family.
Slytherins having group therapy in the common room, the older Slytherins comforting the first years, Slytherins looking out for each other, Slytherins sticking together as they try to remove the evil stigma from their house
