i want someone to make a movie called pride + prejudice where the pride refers to pride celebrations bc that’s where women’s studies phd student lizzie is with her best friends and her sister jane when she meets darcy who in this universe is the eldest daughter of a big political family and has kind of isolated herself from romance and romantic entanglements bc she knows that her sexuality doesn’t mesh with the image and plan her family has for her but they meet at pride and lizzie is someone darcy can’t take her mind off of even though they get off to the worst start ever and then over the next year they slowly unlearn whatever awful things they initially said and relearn each other and lizzie learns to better sharpen and apply her v broad and rigid ideals and darcy learns to place more value in ideals, others’ and most importantly her own, and uses those to overcome the weight of her family’s expectations and tl;dr they meet at pride and a year later they reunite and make things official at pride and i am telling you rn truly i would give anything for this to happen

#also jane is trans and bingley is pan and they fall in love instantly those are the rules#modern p&p with lgbtq themes!! it’s such an obvious concept where is it!!!!! (via @ravenclawisak)
