the “noah deserved better” trend is so confounding to me because that’s literally the point. the point is “noah deserved better”. 

noah deserved to continue being that high-energy, intensely creative firecracker with enough drive and confidence in his ideas to start a school tradition that has lasted a decade. he deserved to graduate from high school and get a full-ride swim team scholarship to a high-tier liberal arts school that would encourage him to use that creativity and make more art. he deserved to get to keep calling his little sister at weird hours to tell her about his dreams. he deserved to get to apologize to his mom for getting drunk on her birthday schnapps and jumping up on the table at the family reunion. he deserved to get to freak out when blink182 got back together. he deserved to make friends who loved him and date someone who wouldn’t cheat on him or use him for his wealth. he deserved to be up on aglionby’s stage beaming and excitedly retelling the story about his raven day dream for the tenth year in a row. 

he deserved to not need to be remembered because he deserved to be alive.
