A “The Office”-style comedy set during the 17th century at the court of the Turkish sultan, with meticulously researched costumes but lots of dialogue anachronisms like “HR department” (i.e., the royal executioner). The show follows the long-suffering chief advisor who has to try to convert his boss’s harebrained schemes into workable policy for the empire. Nobody ever explains what the film crew is doing there or how they got there.
