Rowena Ravenclaw

Rowena Ravenclaw was one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her most notable traits were her intelligence and creativity, which she also valued in the students of her house. According to a popular historical theory,  the location and name of the school were both chosen when she dreamt that a warty hog was leading her to a cliff by the lake. She also came up with its ever-changing floor plan. It’s said that she died sometime in the 11th century of a “broken heart”.
