Influenced by his family’s pure blood supremacy, Regulus became a death-eater aged 16. Soon after he’d taken the mark he became disillusioned with Voldemort’s cause. With the aid of the Black House-elf Kreacher, he was able to steal one of Voldemort’s horcruxes. He died in the cave after drinking the poison in 1979, aged only 18.
